La Tasca

visited la tasca - leeds on sunday 10 may , for a birthday lunch for 4 freinds -- 6 of us in total ---- what a shame it didnt live up to the hype we had given it

the rest of our party hadnt been before, and i was hoping they would enjoy it as much as we had in the past

what is it about sundays ---- lots of tapas on the menu was not avaiable-- no paella for gawd sake!!! no lamb casserole -- and the garlic bread was like jesus feeding the 5,000--- ie not very much

All could have been saved , but long waits for sevice , evenlonger waits for wiine to keep us happy------ and when i asked for a piece of cake or somthing with a candle on for us to sing "happy birthday"!!! well i thought i was asking for chinese take away!!!--- no =, carnt do that -- no candles etc------ i think the staff really didnt want to be working a sunday, and were "doing us a favour" by serving us

Shame , because when my husband and i ( oo - err) have visited before we have had a good time ----- sadly i dont think our guests have go the same impression

Happily- i used a 50% off the food voucher from woman mag -- so the bill wasnt too much of a sting -- and slightly placated my disgruntled freinds

Still dont think they will want to return---- sort sundays out!!!!
