I'm from Sheffield and called in La Cafetiere on a rainy summer's day. It was brilliant! Interesting decor and ambience, an diverse mix of clientele, good service and delicious food (humous to die for; excellent pasta and salad dishes - and, most important, the best coffee ever served in a huge mug - which stays hot and lasts until the food arrives! I call in whenever I'm in the area and will even plan the odd trip to Leeds especially to visit. Highly recommended!

(Just watch out for coats trailing near the tea lights on the stairs when visiting the toilet in the basement. Hope this doesn't change, though, as it adds to the ambience.)
